Auction Checklist

Before creating your auction, we recommend gathering the following details. This will give you the opportunity to consider the overall design and appearance of the auction, allowing you to focus on the finer details during the upload process.

  • Craft a compelling auction title
  • Write a concise, informative auction description
  • Set the auction start and end dates and times
  • Prepare your logo
  • Select a header image (See: Image Guide)
  • Curate lot images (up to 5 per lot, each under 5MB)
  • Determine lot order - it is key for you to decide a final lot order before uploading
  • Compose consistent lot descriptions
    • Utilise 'Title 1' and 'Title 2' effectively
    • Create engaging descriptions using the free text editor
  • Establish starting prices (See: Estimates, Reserves and Pricing)
  • Consider including estimates
  • Begin populating the bulk upload spreadsheet

Pro tip: When setting your auction estimates and starting prices, ensure that they align with internationally approved bidding increments. For further guidance on this, refer to our article on Bidding Increments.

With these elements in place, you'll be ready to create an auction that captivates bidders and showcases your items at their best.
