Auction creation guide

Setting up and running an auction takes a few straightforward steps. Each stage is designed to be simple, so you can focus on your lots and your bidders. This guide takes you through the process with clear actions and links to more detail where you need it.

Step 1: Create a new auction

Click Create auction to get started. You can choose from three templates: Classic, Single lot, or Standalone. Pick the format that best fits your sale.

Step 2: Enter your auction details

In the Auction Creator, you’ll be asked to provide the essentials, including an auction title, description, and lead image.

See: Auction checklist

Step 3: Add a title and description

Write a clear, compelling title and pair it with a short description that gives bidders the key information they need.

See: How do I write an auction description?

Step 4: Set currency and auction dates

Select your currency, auction dates, and time zone. Bidders will see a countdown clock, and remember the time zone can’t be changed after publishing.
