Why can't I publish my auction?

If Indy.auction prevents you from publishing your auction, it's usually because your draft is missing mandatory details. The platform requires specific information to build your page and ensure a smooth experience for your bidders.

Check the following areas to resolve the issue:

1. Connect your payment method

You must link a payment provider before the platform allows you to go live. Bidders need a functional payment system to complete registration and submit bids.

  • Navigate to the Account tab.
  • Select Payment Setup.
  • Complete the setup for your preferred payment method, ensuring it connects properly.

2. Complete the mandatory auction details

The platform needs essential information to activate your page. Open the Auction Creator and verify that you have filled in all required fields. You must include:

  • A clear auction title.
  • A description that outlines the context of your auction.
  • A high-quality lead image to represent your auction.
  • Your chosen currency, dates, and time zone.

3. Review your lots

You cannot publish an empty auction draft. You must create and save your lots before you can launch the auction. Ensure that every lot features:

  • A primary title and a starting price.
  • At least one high-quality image.
  • Accurate shipping info or collection details.

4. Save your changes

Always click the Save button after you make updates to your auction draft. Once you complete these steps, the Publish button will become active, and you can preview your auction page before it goes live to bidders.

Pro Tip: Use our Auction Checklist to ensure you've included all the essential details for publishing your auction.
