What Can and Can’t Be Edited After Your Auction Is Published

Once your auction is published, you’ll still be able to make updates to certain elements. However, for the sake of fairness and transparency, especially once bidding begins, some settings are locked in and can not be changed.

What You Can Edit After Publishing

  • Auction Details: You can still update the auction title, description, menu links, logo, and lead images.
  • Auction Dates & Times: The start and end times can be edited until bidding begins and after bidding has started, the time zone and start date/time become locked.
  • Lot Information: You can continue to edit lot titles, descriptions, and images even after the auction is live.
  • Privacy Settings: You can change the privacy settings at any time, including whether your auction is public or private, whether bidder locations are visible, whether bidding history is shown, and whether the auction results are published.
  • Design Elements: Visual branding—including banners, colours, and logos—can be updated at any time.

What You Can’t Edit After Publishing

  • The Currency
  • Auction Rules: These settings are fixed once the auction is published and cannot be changed—this includes the extension type, extension time, registration type, and buyer fees.
  • FAQs
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Thee Lot Order

Tip:

To avoid restrictions later, review your auction rules, structure, and key settings carefully before publishing your auction.
