The Auction Collective curation policy

Our Curation Policy sets the standards for auction presentation and guides how we evaluate auctions for marketing opportunities

Marketing & Curation Policy

The Auction Collective is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism in the auctions we promote. Due to the high volume of auctions running on Indy.auction, the availability of marketing opportunities through The Auction Collective’s promotional channels is limited.

All marketing requests are reviewed against our Curation Policy. Please note:

  • Promotion is only possible once the auction set-up is fully complete (finalised design, curated lot order, and successful upload of all lots).

  • For examples of polished designs, please see our Demo Auctions.

Curation Policy

1. Polished auction design
  • Auctions should be clean, professional, and visually consistent.

  • Lead images must be uniform in size and cropping to create a cohesive presentation.

  • If tied to a brand, design should reflect that identity through consistent use of colours, logos, and fonts.

2. Curated lot order
  • Lots should be thoughtfully arranged to enhance the bidder’s experience.

  • Order can be organised by theme, artist, medium, or other intentional approaches.

3. High-quality presentation of lots
  • Each lot must include professional, high-quality images (ideally three or more), showing multiple perspectives and/or the artist/creator.

  • Descriptions should be clear and engaging, covering key details such as provenance, artist background, and relevant links.

  • See our Image Policy for technical specifications.

4. Content standards and ethics
  • The Auction Collective will not accept or promote any auction containing violent, hateful, discriminatory, or harmful content, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, religious intolerance, or any form of hate speech.

Any content failing to meet these standards above will not be promoted under any circumstances.
